The Scottish Legal Complaints Commission has welcomed the publication today of a Scottish Government consultation on Legal Services Regulation Reform in Scotland.
The SLCC has opened a consultation on updates to its Rules. The changes are intended to ensure that the Rules reflect a digital and paperless focus in the SLCC’s operations and engagement with the profession, and to increase efficiency and clarify processes.
The Court of Session has granted an interlocutor requiring a firm of solicitors to deliver relevant files and documents to the SLCC, so that a complaint made by a client of the firm can be investigated.
